Conditions
Conditions in which Zinc Oxide + Castor Oil needs care, as documented in this source.
Dehydration
MajorThe use of castor oil is contraindicated in patients with dehydration or electrolyte imbalance. Castor oil is hydrolyzed to glycerol and ricinoleic acid within the small intestine. Ricinoleic acid acts on the small intestine to reduce the net absorption of fluid and electrolytes. This altered intestinal permeability caused by castor oil may produce dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.

Intestinal Obstruction
MajorThe use of laxatives is contraindicated in patients with intestinal obstruction disorders. Patients with intestinal obstruction disorders may need their underlying condition treated to correct the constipation. Some laxatives require reduction in the colon to their active form to be effective which may be a problem in patients with intestinal obstruction.
