Kidney Diseases
MajorPrucalopride is known to be substantially excreted by the kidney, and the risk of adverse reactions may be greater in patients with impaired renal function. No dosage adjustment is required for patients with mild and moderate renal impairment. A decreased dosage is recommended in patients with severe renal impairment. Avoid the use of prucalopride in patients with end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis.

Depressive Disorder
ModerateSuicides, suicide attempts, and suicidal ideation have been reported with the use of prucalopride. It is recommended to monitor all patients for persistent worsening of depression or the emergence of suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Patients should discontinue prucalopride immediately if they experience any of these symptoms.
